Common sense would say..."Nope...it wouldn't be wise to cross the river with .8 of an inch of ice just to jump the river bank..."
But this young man (possibly a relative of mine) decided it made perfect sense. So...here is one of the many times he crossed and lazily popped over the bank.
Oh, and I apologize that 5 minutes earlier when he ran the entire length open water just east down the river that I didn't make it to my recording pad in time...and therefore no pics, no video. Ah...Red Neck fun in NW Ontario.
