On a perfect Thanksgiving Day where the temp was +25! Just the way we like it and we were thankful!

Autumn in NWO

A perfect, warm sunny day for going fishing on Rugby Lake...
Or photographing leaves on water...
Or leaves overhead...

Or red leaves...

Our journey began from here...

and here...

With these peeps...

who's boat was faster than ours...

But look at the perfectly calm waters ahead...

and some very lucky folk who own this perfectly located cottage...

and not to be overlooked...there was also this hawk, who wasn't impressed with us hanging around, so he left...

and then despite circling Gull Rock...no fish yet...

although there were these impressive wave patterns...

and stupendeously, splendid water reflections...

and this mournfully dead looking island...and its reflection...

and let's not forget Mom, who was well prepared if she fell out of the boat at any second...

and Dad, which you can likely tell from his tight grip on his fishing rod that he was expecting a BIG one to bite any second...

and then thinking of little things...I couldn't help but notice Mom & I's reflection on the little light @ the front...

or this impressive moonrise @ supper that night...

and the charm of the back country roads...

or dropping in to investigate Bell Lake more closely...

as well as the view that the sole occupants of this lake get to enjoy all by themselves...

and Mr Fox who was brazenly sunning himself on someone's lawn in the booming metropolis of Eagle River...

and on towards home again, with a front row seat to watch this awsome sunset...

and the subtle reflections on the many lakes you drive by on the way back to the Prairies!
